My name is Tawany Silva and I am thrilled that you have found my portfolio.
My artistic style draws upon my heritage as I was born and raised in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil. Through this foundation of my culture and the beauty of the landscape and nature around me, I have evolved my artistic process to incorporate American artistic values into my culturally relevant art style. Furthermore, I strive to incorporate raw emotion and personal experience into my art pieces. I do not particularly enjoy the circumstances in which I illustrate a lost loved one for a friend or family member; being that I have experienced the loss of a sibling. That being said, I recognize the value of encapsulating a beautiful smile on a canvas or illustration in general of someone that is missed. My inspiration for my art is the genuine beauty of naturality, the power of emotion, and my passion that drives me to revive memories of those that are gone in the minds of those that are determined to insure that those that are lost are not forgotten, as well as inspire those that wish to recognize beauty in the natural world that they experience daily but is often overlooked.
